Frequently Asked Questions

While we can't anticipate every question, we've done our best here to collect the questions we hear most often along with information to hopefully help answer a lot of what you might be curious about. Of course, if you don't see your question listed here, please feel free to contact us and we'll do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you!

There are tons of online learning platforms out there, including some free ones. Why should we use yours?

In a word: outcomes. Our Checkpoints™ system is built on a research-tested methodology that has been show to improve learning -- and not just learning within a single subject, but to improve students' ability to apply critical thinking and creative problem solving across their educational experience.

Do we have to use your content or can we create our own?

You can absolutely create your own content -- you can even list it in our content library and earn royalties from your courses when others license them for use in their schools. And while we do have a great core set of pre-developed courses to choose from, many of which are free to license and change as best fits your needs, our service is focused much more on allowing teachers to tailor their course materials to our learning system so that they see discernable improvement in their students' learning.

Can we try it before we buy it?

While some companies will only give you a PowerPoint presentation or a scripted demo, we believe that it's vital that you be able to test drive our system before you decide to work with us. In fact, for a limited time we are offering a free beta account to select schools which will allow 1 administrator, 1 instructor, and up to 5 student accounts to use the beta version of our system until the full version is released, with no obligation and no high pressure sales tactics. if our service doesn't sell itself, you should buy something else, period.

You talk about letting kids complete work online from home or elsewhere. What's to prevent them from just having their friend or their Mom or Dad do their homework for them?

Because of the way our system works in terms of building concepts one on top of another as the student progresses from basic knowledge through advanced analysis and evaluation, and because the expectation is that students will still be required to take exams under supervision, either in class or in a learning center as appropriate, anyone who has not done the learning themselves along the way will be quite obvious when they attempt to take an exam based on our learning system.
